  4. Bouche...........didnt you sneak into a Hip show carrying a patch cable while implying you were with the band? You were too young to get in the bar........something like that. Perhaps it was someone else but I always thought that was you and the bar might have been Stages? You hid in the bathroom until the place started filling? My favorite memory is lame compared to this stuff. It was the first time I saw them and it was at our high school, which I think they only played once while I was there because I went to all that shit simply due to my love of the opposite sex. Anyways, at one point I got talked into going outside to smoke a bomber. Nothing was working inside for me so why not? Did the deed and felt severe fear walking back inside. "Everyone knows. I am going to jail now. How will I survive in jail? I am 140 pounds. Why is my heart pounding so hard? Death is upon me." Somehow I slowly settle into a spot on the floor of our high school gymnasium where I had been and the Hip delve into a cover of Riders On The Storm. At the time I fucking loved the Doors and that cover carried me into the rest of their show. It was the first time I truly ended up on my own at a 'concert' and I have been framed ever since. Thank you Gord Downie. I never saw them again until their second last show here in Ottawa.

Re-reading this I should qualify a post I made " I have enjoyed learning about serial killers throughout my life " At a couple of points in my life I got into that stuff pretty heavily and I am unsure of how much I enjoyed those learnings. The latest was a couple of years ago and I had to stop because I was starting to lose my shit based on how much insanity I was delving into. The same thing happened the first time in my early 20's "This shit is fucked up!" Having said that, watch Mindhunter. It is fantastic and soft compared to actually researching serial killers. All you need to know is that David Fincher is a producer. Look up his name on IMDB. He is one of my cinematic favorites.

I have been playing this show off and on since last night and I gotta say..........wait until you hit the Reuben and Cherise because it is all out mayhem. Having said that everytime I see the drummer I get freaked out and think of Ed Kemper - speaking of which, I have enjoyed learning about serial killers throughout my life and there is an EXCELLENT series on Netflix right now entitled Mindhunter, David Fincher is all you need to know, that I cant recommend enough. Yeah, I am weird. Fuck you Velvet.

How anyone doesnt love how JRAD is bringing our favorites band's music to another level shocks me. Look no further to C-Towns post as they transition from Let It Grow into Running Down A Dream. This is a band who arent writing songs but are killing killer songs while going inside and out of them like I have never heard. I would tour with these guys if I was a kid........and then you get Johnny Slayer showing up as a guest.....the Dead's music best keep living on
  10. I am getting drunk as fuck tonight. Tom Petty songs until I pass out on my living floor or hopefully the couch.

  14. Because only the great went, right? 20 years later this is still one of my favorite musical moments in my life. I was exploding for moments that never ended. It has become affectionately known as Went Gin and when I think of it I often think of AD, remember that guy? Anyways, he used to wax about this set and this song from time to time on this board and every time he did I melted a little inside because I knew. Hell, it's Went Gin is probably the only reason we were friends while the entire set was fucking ridiculous but we both knew the deal. Fair warning, this starts as a pro-shot but it ends up being spliced with an audience filmed shot. Dont expect to watch it and be blown away by the visuals. I guarantee the music will get you.................
