That version of Search and Destroy is pretty killer, no pun intended, from a band I dont normally care for. They got shirts off for Iggy. Good fucking job Chilly Willy. I love this thread.

    This one is for Esau
  9. Jazzfest is off the map for me this year because I will have my son while his mother is away. Having said that the highschool girls who inhabit the house beside me have offered to babysit if they are available. They are both late-teens so I am not expecting very much out of them but should stars align...........you just never know.
  10. Norberry Crescent where we watched the return of Koivu you fucking dumbass.

I hadnt watched the King of the Teles in a while Esau. That is so fucking sweet. It's pretty much impossible to top that number. If there were a scorecard I would put my vote on you as the winner for 'Best Pick" in this thread but my bias is that I am already all in with Roy Buchanan doing Hey Joe.
  12. I saw them at Folkfest when it was held at Sir Charles Tupper, or whatever they called that venue. Wintersleep put on a really good show that night but if the layout is how it used to be when I lived at Mooney's 5 years ago this will be jammed. Not to scare you off because they must have changed things based on these headliners. Realistically there is no way they have the stage where it was when I lived in that area. The last time we went was to see Jim Cuddy for Hope one year but never went back because it was so packed and we could hear the performers perfectly from our balcony. The layout has to be different. I probably shouldnt have written anything. No need to scare you for unsubstantiated reasoning since what I am talking about was well over a decade ago.
  13. Really? We should hang out and talk soon because I figured I would just allow tickets to fall as they may, pun intended, while deciding which shows to hit. Vegas is the run I would prefer to get destroyed at because I got cash and a few brain cells still willing to burn. The only threshold there would be a pair of tickets and a partner in crime.

God bless Passed Out Guy for directing my attention to this insanity........................perfect drummer is perfect. and a reminder to those who have forgotten how killer this group was in their few times playing live
  17. I've probably posted this a number of times before but even if I havent this is a definite must-watch/feel. It's been my mantra, or muse or whatever, for about 3 years now. This song is heavy. I still remember the first time I heard it and will never forget the drive I was on during a Sunday night listening to Strombo via CBC over the airwaves (vote for CBC everytime). Easily my life could have taken a turn off that road and ended it because I was so enthralled in the message being conveyed to me at that moment with the possibility of heading into or off a cliff. Whenever I hear this song, more importantly this version, I immediately recognize how fleeting life is. That's the beauty of a killer song. This will always bring me to my knees much like Stella Blue offers the same................this shit is legit
  18. Johnny Slayer is starting to put on some Phil 'heineken' Lesh weight but hot-damn if he doesnt have the best of ole Jer Bear with his own spin. He and Bob speak really well together and I suspect this stuff would be fantastic if Phil were driving the bus, nothing against Oteil. He's fucking great. At first I was all "this is one slow Jack Straw" and then the silky slide happened. It's that kinda shit that keeps me coming back to these cats. I'm glad this stuff is going on..................
  19. I would go see Pink Talking Phish or JRAD in a second
