  1. Exactly. I honour my bets, unlike the dude who started this thread.
  2. I might as well cheer for the Habs now that the Sens are out.
  3. I think I heard Lauzon yelling out to the street tonight, trying to get people to come in and buy tickets:
  4. I believe that the Sens put up as good a fight as they could but they looked completely gassed in the third period and OT. When you go into a collapse defence like they did during overtime, you know it is over. There's nothing a coach or a player can do aside from hoping the opposing team has some kind of breakdonw allowing you to take something that doesnt belong to you. Out of wind. That's how I saw it tonight.
  5. Raiders get Jason Campbell from the Redskins for a 4th round pick in 2012. Bye bye JaFatass. Note for Whitey: I was still holding out in hopes Russell's physical talents translated to success at the NFL level. What an arm. Too bad he's a fucking moron.
  6. You probably like Cindy Lauper too. Shiiiiiit. I just admitted to being sucked into Celebrity Apprentice this season. Honestly, I was digging Michael Johnson. I had ALWAYS hated him until this peek into a side you dont often get to see from people, even if it is entirely editted for entertainments sake. I wish he didnt have to quit. Goldberg had some classic lines himself. I hadnt watched the show since the 3rd season so I didnt know they went to a 2 hr format. The boardroom scenes are painfully long now. Waste of time. They recycle the sameshit week after week.
  7. I didnt know you could get a hemmorage in your dick. (recycling my own joke)
  8. Jaro was magnificent. Still dont know why Jacques Martin puts Obyrne in the pressbox but can play him in the last minute of tonight's game.
  9. I'll take false hope for 500 Alex!
  10. The fall of Claussen continues! I thought the Raiders were going to take him at 39 but they traded their pick. Buffalo is up. If he doest go here, something is really up with this kid.
  11. Screw the semantics, he gave him 37 cents!
  12. God bless you Whitey. You are one of the few Leaf fans who doesnt make me want to kill something. For the time being that is.........
  13. Great. This is going to be the cry from 50% of the attendees come Monday following nero this weekend.
  14. Jokes on me too. Godfrey sent out the following in an email
  15. Everything I have read today suggest the Raiders finally made a solid pick in the top 10. I'm much better with the selection than I was last night. Not too mention, Claussen dropped out of the first round. The Raiders might still be able to get him. They are going to end up with another starter based on how things have progressed so far so things arent looking too bad for once. I know, I know. I have said all of this postive bullshit before. I feel like Whitey The Leafs Fan.
  16. DaveO emailed me yesterday to say he wouldnt be watching last nights game because his band had a gig. I emailed him this morning to ask him if he learned a valuable lesson. "Play more gigs, watch less Sens"
  17. This old man fell asleep between the 3rd period and OT so I didnt get a chance to watch Pascal make me eat my words. Gonna be tough to stay awake tonight if the same thing happens during the Habs-Caps game. I'll be home alone with the boy so there wont be any drinking. I hope ya'll enjoyed savouring that flavour because your hangovers are probably 4 star ones this morning. I'm sure it's totally worth it though.
  18. Looks like I was confused about the Washington pick. I thought they took the 3rd ranked OT, which would have placed him around 15th overall. They grabbed the 2nd ranked OT.
  19. And the Oakland pick Oakland Raiders - Rolando McClain ILB Alabama What he brings: It's a little early to be taking an inside linebacker, though McClain was the best on the board. McClain doesn't have elite top-end speed but he covers more ground than you would think because of his instincts. He locates and gets to the ball quickly and can also hold his own in phone-booth situations when teams run at him. He shows good instincts and adequate range in coverage as well. How he fits: The Raiders are obviously overhauling their linebacker corps. They recently added Kamerion Wimbley, who will likely play strongside linebacker with McClain in the middle and Trevor Scott on the weak side. The Raiders only tendered Kirk Morrison an original round tender as a restricted free agent, showing a potential willingness to replace him. This Raiders defense was 29th versus the run and McClain will serve to improve this quickly. Though it's a surprising pick, this does give the Raiders a good mix of speed and toughness at linebacker.
  20. Here's a quick analysis on ESPN about the Washington pick Washington Redskins - Trent Williams OT Oklahoma What he brings: This a risky pick. There are concerns about Williams' work ethic and commitment to improving his game. However, the reward could be well worth the risk. He's the most naturally gifted tackle in this draft. He has a quick first step and lateral mobility to prevent NFL pass-rushers from turning the corner, and also has the power and nasty disposition to quickly develop into an effective drive-blocker. How he fits: It was no secret the Redskins and new coach Mike Shanahan needed to add a prototypical left tackle for them to succeed quickly. The addition of QB Donovan McNabb inspires hope in the offense and Williams can bring some stability to the offensive tackle position. Players were in and out of both tackle spots all season and its best offensive tackle, Chris Samuels, retired in the offseason. This pick was absolutely necessary and Williams will start from Day 1.
  21. I hear you POG. Another shocking pick.
  22. Jimmy Clausen must be overated by the media if Cleveland, Oakland and Buffalo passed on him. Ollie, the Redskins took the first OT in the draft but he is probably the third ranked one. They left a stud on the board, who not surprisingly, went to Seattle with the next O-line pick. The Raiders didnt address any of their offensive holes (specifically on the O-line, where I was silently hoping they would go) and went with a LB who is not a top 10 pick. Not quite as bad as last years selection and the commentators seemed to like the pick......somewhat.
