  1. I got my tickets today. They're awfully shiny. I am super stoked.
  2. I stayed at Hotel Edison in December ... great if you want Times Square, and pretty cheap for where it is. Not a hugely classy place, but decent enough.
  3. Was at Marineland today with the family watching the big show with the seals and dolphins. First song of the show is First Tube, heard at least 3 New Deal tunes, and I think a St. Germain. Fucking hippies ... can't shake 'em anywhere.
  4. security deposits aren't allowed, as in damage deposits, but last month's rent is.
  5. Twas there ... vocal jam in YEM was mega-rad.
  6. I'm surprised that Farmhouse ranks so low ... to me it's not only my favourite Phish album but to me it stands up against most of my other favourite albums (Abbey Road, Bringing It All Back Home, After The Gold Rush, etc.)
  7. I sell real estate here in Kingston ... I don't know anybody in Hamilton well enough to refer you to them, but I certainly dig around on your behalf to find someone decent. Either way, feel free to hit me up with any questions, advice, etc.
  8. 1. Farmhouse 2. Junta 3. Hoist 4. Billy Breathes 5. Picture of Nectar 6. Story of a Ghost 7. Lawn Boy 8. Rift 9. Undermind 10. Round Room

  10. If you're in the Kingston area, you can borrow one from the MILL (Musical Instrument Lending Library) ...
  11. yeah we've got Algonquin College lined up as the main plan, hoping to find some a little more economic though ...
  12. Hey everyone, My wife is heading to Ottawa to start Montessori teacher training on Monday, and the accomodation plan fell through. Does anyone have, or know of, a good place to stay for 6/7 weeks? The school is Rainbow Montessori Academy on Maitland near Clyde/Baseline. Cheap is very good! You can PM me or email me at chris@chris-morris.ca I love you all. Even Booche.
  13. It was the last Canadian Phish show ... and a great one at that.
  14. Of apparent suicide - http://www.torontomike.com/2009/07/martin_streek_dead.html Heard a lot good music first from this guy ...
  15. if you go directly to the box office it's much cheaper ... no surcharges.
  16. King Street meggo Market is open Tues, Thurs, Sat. Best butcher shop in town is there too ... Block & Cleaver.
  17. For a great lunch, I highly recommend Stuff'd. There's one on Bagot between Brock & Princess, and another on King St West in Portsmouth Village. Totally make your own sandwich, but with probably 60 different ingredients and spreads. I always get something on a tasty baguette, but there's lots of wraps too. The Mansion (and The Living Room inside it) is probably the best spot for music right now, especially rootsy stuff, but BarNone is great too. Oh yeah, and White Mountain Ice Cream. My kids are lucky I like it as much as they do.
  18. healty habit is closed. Star Diner on Princess Street is usually pretty good, but my all time favourite is The Right Spot on Wellington. Oldest diner owners you'll ever see, but it's mega-cheap and pretty quick. Go for the pancakes ... The Iron Duke on Wellington is a pretty popular new spot (the former Scherzo / Wellington) that has good food and a great beer selection. If you like Greek food, Greco's on Princess downtown is amazing. Mino's takeout is a good bargain too.
  19. Hoagie House on Division Street is WAY better than the one on Front Road (which incidentally is very close to Mamma Mia's, and my house). Bubba's on King St East is better than the one on Princess Street. Best fries in town are Copper Penny.
  20. An amazing singer, songwriter, dancer, boys underwear remover, plastic surgery poster boy ...
  21. I host an open stage on even-numbered Sundays at the RCHA Club. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=66472132957
  22. I used this one once, to great effect "Let's go back to your place and have wild hot pig sex" and we did.
  23. The one great thing about our Blues Fest is that it's always been pure blues ... headlining this year, Robert Cray & Mavis Staples http://www.kingstonblues.com/welcome.html
