not much. We had the top end of the engine rebuilt last year. That cost us $1600.00. New muffler, good tires. I haven't seen the car in a while but the body is in super shape. I'm not sure if the power locks are working... they may not.

Joe Pesci was great in Taxi.

Thanks to everyone who made it out. It was really great to get out and play. It really makes me want to get out and do that more often. I think we managed to get a lot of food and some cash for the food bank so it was certainly a success.
Thanks again!

hey everybody,
I thought I'd let you know a bit about what I'm doing at this show.
Steve asked me to do this a long time ago... maybe February or something. I'm really glad he did because its been a good motivation to get this thing together.
Its going to be instrumental acoustic and electric guitars, synth and live looping. (In future shows I'll be bringing a modified chinese instrument called a "guzehng" similar to a zither or a koto)
I've spent all this year writing new material for this format and its been really rewarding. Its so great to concentrate on making music.
I believe that Velvet will be screening his new movie before I play.
I hope to see some of you out there. I'm hoping to maybe travel this show a bit next year... we'll see.
Cheers,
Dave

[color:purple]Hiatus is so last year. This year ODs are all the rage.

I'm trying to fix a problem with one of my loopers and I think it has to do with some bad ram. not sure, but my guess is that after being thrown around turned on and off and generally abused over the last 5 years my memory is cruddy. I guess that description could work for a few things.... anyways.... this vintage computing unit requires 30 pin SIMMs with 120ns or better access time. I'm looking for 4 blocks of 4mb If anyones got some kicking around, I would be interested in buying them from you. They could have a new home in my echoplex instead of becoming key chains. Let me know!
Thanks

I recommend Dream Dentistry
They won't let you feel any pain if you don't want to.

too bad they can't come out with a cool new guitar body design that will take guitar out of the dark ages.
Just think - bassists get all the benefits of creative design with more focus on a hi-fi approach to the audio signal while guitarists are pretty much stuck to vintage or metal stylings.
You guys can keep your pointy guitars and active pickups, thanks!

I've tried to imagine the possibilities but I keep coming up with, why would you want to send each string to its own amplifier?
I guess I'm a purist

Where in Jersey? Theres a lot of city/towns..
Trenton is a place to avoid.
That is an understatement.
Trenton is a good place to stop in for a fast cheap crack score.
Be sure to check out the outskirts around Teaneck near the airport. PEI punk can give you a heady hotel recomendation!

Thanks Brad, I couldn't get that to show up.

Check this out, you can assemble your dream/nightmare guitar. good times.

I think that instrument is called the Picaso and there are two in existence and Pat Metheny owns both of them. He played it on the last tour on the intro to "Are you going with me?" and he really used all of it and it sounded great.
-
I think it will be about $4700 Canadian.

Its on order. We'll have one in the store this fall.
Sounds like a nice guitar. The only guitar I ever tried with a Italian alpine spruce top was outstanding.

hey everybody,
We've just discovered an additional two kittens at our farm. One of our cats had a litter of five and they've all found homes. It turns out there are two more from a different mommy cat but it looks like they've got the same father. One is black with white paws and white on her face. The other is white with grey swirls. They are both healthy barn cats and ready to move on to their new homes as soon as possible
I'll try and get some pictures up soon.
If interested, email me at davelauz@hotmail.com
cheers

yipes! sounds like a weekend in hell.

I have both her albums and they are both great. She is an extremely kick ass guitarist and her compositions are quite clever and very unique. Beyond all the tapping there are some seriously interesting tunes.
Go see this show. If for some reason I miss her at bluesfest, I'll be in Hamilton.

Happy Birthday Todd. I'm now the age you were when I met you. I thought you must have been very wise by that ripe old age. funny I don't feel very wise myself. That being said, I have no expectations for 10 years from now.
Happy birthday Todd, you're a good friend.
Best of luck with "2006 pick up sticks"
