  1. Last Saturday night with Jukejoint was amazing. Love these guys!! We had a pretty good crowd and everyone got down pretty hard as usual. If you missed them at CTMF and you missed them in Ottawa, then you have really missed out. Make an effort to see them. I hope to have them back for a Saturday at the Dekcuf in the fall.

How could you all miss Metalwood last night at Babylon? Those guys are beyond good! A very sparse crowd enjoyed their show last night.

The Bayou, on very short notice, has asked Nugget Productions to book both Friday and Saturday night this week. We are going to bring you 2 new local bands, both of which you will hear much more about in the comming days (and years let's hope)

  2. First off, last nights Muffin was the best Muffin I have heard in a long time. I think the band played extra good, with extra soul.... hit me with music!

As good as the show was, the most fun we had was after the show on Bank St. It seems that some drunken Royal Oak patron had decided to give the bar a streak! All in good fun I'm sure, but Ottawa's finest decided to arrest him and the shit hit the fan. The barrage of BOOOO'S from both sides of the street must have freaked the cop out and she must have made quite a distress call. Within minutes there were more cops, then more, then more, each car arriving to sacastic rounds of applause from the drunks on either side of the street. Within 5 minutes Bank St. was shut down with no less than a dozen cruisers and 20 cops.... all for 1 naked dude..... WoW

    Quote of the night

"were all a bunch of sausages flappin in the wind"

    Stapes

  3. I have seen Metallica 6 times.....

That creeping death chant is killer... thanks for reminding me H !!

How about when Lars runs from one drum kit to the other during the 4 Horsemen...... he makes it just in time to come back in with the rest of the band.....

to bad they all turned out to be such a bunch of putz's

  4. A reminder that

  5. The first ever Jam song that rocked my soul was Orion (track 7 Master of Puppets) This song was my favorite song in the world from 1986 thru Osweego N.Y. (where everything changed) I find it so interesting to think about that song now, all the reason it appealed to me are so obvious now, but I had no idea then.... is this what they call wisdom?

I still listen to that tune. An incredibly heavy, 8 minute instrumental decent into maddness. I'm telling you, if you haven't heard this tune, go Kazaa that MoFo right now! While it is downloading, get really high and a pair of earphones, strap yourself in and take that trip!

  6. Back at you sloth....

Where you getting hammered tonight? Giggles and I are hitting the market patio scene as soon as I free myself from this repressive (but air conditioned) classroom.

Anyone feel like sunning themselfs on the market after work... give me a call
