  10. Anyone seen this one? http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com There's a nice little write up about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist,_the_Movie I watched this over a couple of nights and it's really chilling to think that there is some truth to the entire story. I love conspiracy theories - and I'm convinced that something is up with 9/11 that we'll never really know. anyone see this or have any comments about the film?

He's a great guitarist - not so excited about his singing/songwriting - of course I'm not the most familiar with his work. can anyone say if Luther is fitting well ??

  15. Crazy day on Saturday at the Fweedom Festival - great vibes all around - people came out in droves - at one point the park at and estimated 15,000 people. We all wondered what it would be like if the weather wasn't calling for rain all day. It was great to see so many people dancing and having a great time - Sarahbelle, O'Hickster, Large Marge, Jakob and many others i am sure I am forgetting - I enjoyed myself a bit too much ~ feeling extra slow today. Looking forward to Come Together Festival!! SMASH YOUR I-PHONE House of High Plains Drifter @ Freedom Festival

  17. this sunday may 4th, 3 to 9pm promise ambient cherry blossom picnic at high park Every year at this time the cherry trees in High Park come into amazing full bloom just for a few resplendent days and then the blossoms all blow away. We invite you to enjoy a really nice day on the cherry blossom hillside with us for an ambient music picnic. It’s a great little grove of trees in the park, looking west over Grenadier pond and it’s a great place to enjoy with music. Obviously, for this weekend, the event is weather dependent. The weather is supposed to be nice on Sunday, but it could rain. If it does, we won’t be able to go ahead with it. Check email or call the info line at 416.461.4939. We’ve held this event for three years now and it has been surprising to see how many people in the city just migrate to the cherry trees each year for the beauty of it – there were even people painting the blossoms in past years. A venerable tradition of cherry blossom festivals exists all over the world - in San Francisco, Washington and, most notably, in Japan where there are hundreds of celebrations between January and June. See: http://gojapan.about.com/cs/cherryblossoms/a/sakurafestival.htm http://japanese.about.com/library/weekly/aa031900.htm Our dj friends will be playing ambient and chill music that’s nicely suited for absorbing the tranquility and beauty of the spot. So far we have Aia and Richard Windeyer, we’ll announce the rest shortly. what to expect: Evenings this time of year get really cool and even if you just plan to come by for a short visit, you may get swept up and stay until the end. So come prepared - bring blankets, sleeping bags, chairs, hammocks. Tuck away a hat, sweater, gloves and a thermos of tea to keep yourselves warm. Bring a nice bit of a picnic. Don’t expect deep dancefloor music, we’re focused on beatless ambient music for this occasion. It only goes til 9pm, so mid afternoon full sun is the best. Do yourself the favour of coming down nice and early, nothing beats the feeling of sun warming your face through those flowers as the day slips by. location: Southwest side of the park, just down from the restaurant (lots of parking). Walk towards the pond and we’re right there on the hillside. More about the park and directions at: http://www.toronto.ca/parks/highpark.htm contact: Update on Sunday - 416 461 3949 Our mobiles - David 416 550 2702 and Irving 416 902 1740 Thanks to Blaine (blankfoto) for the generator and Justin (alienInFlux) for the soundsystem. cheers, David and Irving
