  5. Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=166424130072470 http://www.biodieselband.com/ BioDiesel lies in razor thin space between band and dj, synthetic and human, man and machine. On one end you have drumming legend Johnny Rabb—pioneer of freehand technique, who has performed and given clinics the world over. Recognized as an inventor, author, educator and the original World's Fastest Drummer, Johnny is able to execute his passion for live electronic music in ways that few (if any) others are able. His high rhythmic plateau is the foundation on which BioDiesel is constructed. Add Clay Parnell who is known throughout North America as bassist for Brothers Past - one of the premiere bands blending rock and electronic music. Urb put their latest studio effort at "the top of the growing pile of genre bending releases." Performing regularly with what reads like a who's who list in the edm and livetronica world, Clay has emerged as the "go to" bassist in this rapidly expanding genre. As if the parts aren't powerful enough, the real story is the sum that is BioDiesel when Johnny and Clay take the stage. Sharing writing and production duties, the two are able to pull off their sometimes complex arrangements utilizing the latest technology the world has to offer. The result is an ensemble that is as powerful and majestic as it is sleek and streamlined. Whether performing their original compositions or their crowd-pleasing live-dance remixes, BioDiesel delivers. Though generally a duo, one never knows who will be joining BioDiesel on stage. Their format so easily allows for guest sit-ins that many BioDiesel performances have produced heavy-weight, one of a kind collaborations. Click here for a a list of artists that have collaborated with Johnny and Clay. More information at www.biodieselband.com and www.myspace.com/biodieselband

  10. CONSPIRATOR FEATURING MARC BROWNSTEIN & ARON MAGNER FROM THE DISCO BISCUITS.. AND CHRIS MANCETTI FROM RAQ. Conspirator, the duo of Disco Biscuits’ staples Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner which often features guest musicians in the live setting, has announced a national tour of “full band†performances featuring Chris Michetti and a rotating cast of first-class drummers. The news comes on the heels of a series of performances that have created quite a bit of buzz among band and fans, alike. - Wondering what you guys think of this band, I'd love to know, by a show of response here, who'd make the trip to Toronto to see them? Thanks! -Jay
  11. I'm taking a stab at Breaking Bad tonight, but I'll add Californication in the mix. I haven't really been watching much TV lately or movies for that mater - but I'm really blow away how much of this stuff is available online!
  12. I know the guy who started this whole lawsuit. I was working with him 3-4 years ago. The original lawsuit was for $500 million. I have a feeling he's now out of the picture - he's a bit of a maniac. But we worked on a Toronto Chet Baker festival which featured Randy Brecker, Curtis Fuller and many other sidemen who worked with Chet.
  13. never watched this show... looks interesting - is it highly recommended? I'm finished watching East Bound and Down and I'm looking for something similar edgy, funny...
