  4. This is a rant. Gotta get it off my chest. I'm not trying to be reasonable by any means. This station I listen to keeps playing "Breathe" from his new magnum opus, backed by SCI. Everything about it just sucks. It makes the Pet Shop Boys sound like Motorhead. It's the musical equivalent of a water cracker, just thin, shallow, tasteless, mundane pap. Shouldn't he really just be hosting Tuesday night open-mic jams at the local Boston Pizza? Do people really enjoy drugs this much?

  10. I like that period from "Permanent Waves" through "Grace Under Pressure". Nice, lean playing, you could tell their ears were on the likes of The Police and such emerging new-wave bands and they adjusted accordingly but not so far that they betrayed their audience, which makes them pretty damn cool. I think I'd enjoy a Rush show although I can't imagine my ever getting off my ass to go to one. Loved them growing up.
  11. at this point I can't say as though I dislike them but I am finally sick to the teeth of a lot of Bobby's 1st set cover picks. The early set blues tunes and the cowboy medleys......... just heard them too many times. Sorry Hux, not trying to pick, I actually do love Weir, I just find myself skipping those tunes more often than ever. It;s also just my lot in life that every single show I own seems to have "Cassidy" on it, which grates after a while although it is a fine fine tune.

    unfortunately yes, many times, and I find nothing "neat" about them. But boy are they creepy! trans-substantiation is just nonsense.

    absolutely. Their live shows never fail to amaze and inspire. It's like how church should be!
  17. The Richfield storm found me stuck in a hotel "holidome" with no room and no chance to get out. That was one of the craziest nights ever! Total insanity with hundreds of stranded Deadheads camping out next to an indoor swimming pool.
