Went to go see Timmy in post-op last night. He's faring well, a bit sore (well, a lot sore) but his spirits are up and he's in good hands. He was ok with me sharing with you all his reasons for going into hospital, so here ya go. His younger brother Steve has been living with weakened kidneys his whole life. They always knew the day would come where he'd need a transplant and Tim would be a match. That day came on Wednesday. Both brothers are doing well; it turns out that under these circumstances it's often the donor that has it rougher than the recipient. But Tim has a real inner strength that will serve him well in the weeks and months to come as he recovers. Tim is aware of this thread, although he hasn't seen it yet, and he sends along his love and thanks to this community for all your support. He could be sent home as early as today although I think tomorrow seems more likely. Long may you run TimmyB!
