My favorite current US cable shows are Mad Men and Burn Notice' date=' surprised to see at least the first one hasn't gotten a mention.[/quote']
I'm dying to see Burn Notice. I hear that my favourite acting icon, Bruce Campbell, is a real hoot in the show. One problem is that I don't want to add Super Channel to my already monsterous cable package.
Well, if you want to get caught up, Future Shop has the first 2 seasons on DVD for a lot cheaper than anywhere else, like $20 a season. It's a lot of fun and Bruce Campbell is ... well, he's Bruce Campbell.

I downloaded a recent show and he did "Hitch Hiker" , hopefully that will finally make it onto the next album.

Fiona is having some sort of True Blood based hen party, and I'm too lazy to look it up on any events calendar ... are there any worth while bands playing local clubs on that date?
-
I really liked their last album ... I particularly enjoyed the keys.

Fiona performed at the rally with the Raging Grannies.

Why the heck do CD-Rs tend to cost more than DVD-Rs?

The Low Anthem (thanks, AD)
Library Voices (ditto)
Golden Dogs
and, oddly enough, Jackson Browne (whom I didn't see at Bluesfest, but have since kicked myself that I missed him)

IMSMR, Jerry Garcia claimed to never practice ... I think it was just because he was always playing anyways, he didn't consider it practice.

I thought Deep Banana Blackout had started touring again.

Thanks to both bands for an awesome night.

When do shows usually start at Mavericks these days? It's been a long while for me, I am working this evening but might stop by afterwards.

And John Taylor from Duran Duran...he was dreamy...when I first saw him in Tiger Beat, I found out that he played bass and I remember not knowing what that was, at the time. Didn't stop me from tearing his picture out of the magazine, though!
To this day, John Taylor is still a fine looking man and, IMHO, a damn good bass player.
