Back to the concert... a couple of my friends told me they got "free downloads" of last night's show as they were leaving. I'm not clear if this was in the form of a code or what. Did anyone else get one and where were they giving them out?

You can still do the daily blast with pictures and a few lines about the show to fill space and then add something like this at the end: "Pick up tomorrow's copy of the Ottawa Sun to read Denis Armstrong's full review"... or even "Read Denis Armstrong's full review online at..."

I noticed that one a couple of weeks ago. Weird. They've also got a few HD channels on free preview this week like Oasis and Treasure. Who would even pay for these?

I completely understand the limitations he's working with but that's still no excuse for the errors I pointed out. If he's been burned in the past by assuming setlists then he should just stop doing it. Or, ideally, the paper should just run the print review a day late and publish the online review in the morning, giving the reviewer more time to edit the piece.

Just wanted to chime in with obligatory Denis Armstrong review errata (although they might have been fixed by now): - called Kirk Hammett "Rick" - claimed they played "Die, Die My Darling" when it was really "Last Caress" That is all.

Finally something good on SUN TV. Other than that, isn't this the most useless channel on the HD dial?

So very sorry to hear about your loss Dave. I am happy you decided to go to the concert. Fade To Black has been rare on this tour and I thought it was one of the highlights. Overall that might have been the best Metallica *show* I've seen. I wasn't gaga over the setlist but the energy and playing was awesome. My personal favourite song of the night was the Motorbreath encore. Holy fuck was that ever awesome.

Yeah, I was on the FireFox wagon for a few years but I couldn't help notice what a hog it was and how it slowly become unstable on my system (random hangups). I switched to Chrome over a month ago and I love it. It's very lightweight with a very clean design, which admittedly took me a while to get used to but now I dig it.
