  1. Sweet! Sound booth at the MBNA stage? Who should I ask for?
  2. Is it too soon to be asking about tapes of the show?
  3. From Philzone: "All songs will be themed to difficulties encountered crossing border." Fantastic show. Best Bluesfest experience ever.
  4. Furthur Wed. July 7, 2010 Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest Ottawa, Ontario - CANADA Set 1 special thanks to Blackie Alabama Getaway Don't Ease Me In Mama Tried Dire Wolf Hell In A Bucket Bertha Truckin' > Smokestack Lightning > Casey Jones I Need A Miracle > Help On The Way > Caution > New Speedway Boogie > Wharf Rat > I Fought The Law > Liberty Donor Rap E: On The Road Again > Touch Of Grey
  5. Unlike you I have no problem admitting it when one of my favourite artists has jumped the shark. Hamilton, how did you get inside Peter Gabriel's head?
  6. Forgot to mention the asinine water bottle "war" going on at the main stage. People were randomly tossing half-full water bottles into the crowd. I wish security gave a shit about stopping that kind of infraction but they just let it go on all night. I found the crowd pretty cretinous in general.
  7. Standard beer tents have Tankhouse, Stock Ale, Organic Lager and Lemon Tea. The big tent which Velvet mentioned had about 5 more options including: Stout, Extra Special Bitter, Wit, Pilsner, and I'm drawing a blank now. The Stout and the ESB were winners!
  8. Getting through the gates is the same as last year: bag check but no body pat down whatsoever. The "red shirt" security is back. They were walking around puffing their chests before Dream Theatre started but I didn't catch sight of them after that. I was fairly close on the paved section in front of the stage though. General warning here but if security tells you to do something then just comply. There was a guy next to me on the side rail who had was taking pictures with a fancy SLR camera. He was told by security that the band wanted him to put it away. Security in this case gave him ample slack with repeated warnings that he'd be ejected if he didn't put it away. Buddy eventually got turfed about 30 minutes into Maiden's set. If you're fortunate enough to get a warning... heed it. NOTHING in cans as far as I could tell. Very disappointing on many levels. One of which is the ridiculous pour level on one of my beers last night.
  9. I didn't like the top heavy setlist. It was like a long tease until they got to the good stuff. However, the crowd around me near the front was very into it and knew all the material. They have a lot of young fans so this was probably "old stuff" to them. Out of the five times I've seen them I'd rank that #3.
  10. Antsy. Willing to talk anything Bluesfest related to kill some time.
  11. Agreed. The two other notable ones are tracks #3 and #16 which are from their 2nd and 1st albums respectively.
  12. Here's the setlist from Saturday in Toronto. It's been the same all tour so I don't see why it would be any different tonight. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/iron-maiden/2010/molson-amphitheatre-toronto-on-canada-53d403a9.html
  13. You make it sound like you've never seen them before! Warning: anyone expecting a classic Maiden set might be disappointed. Their set has been exactly the same the whole tour and it's front loaded with post-2000 material. I hope I'm wrong. Holy crap I can't get any work done.
  14. Any word on which Mill Street beers are available? I'm guessing Tank House and Organic Lager. As excited as I was when I heard Mill Street was taking over, I sure am going to miss those Creemore tallboys!
  15. When's he going to put out another good album?

    G20?

How do you know you haven't caught it?

    G20?

"You start the new topic!" "No, you start the new topic!" Am I stuck in a gov't meeting?
  18. That's pretty young too... I mean, Chelios was still playing in the NHL at that age.
