OK, i had to repost this again. Please take my word for it and check it out. You Dead freaks will be in heaven if you're into SHN.....

if you're not familiar with usenet, here is your quick and dirty tutorial. The newsgroups (usenet) is where almost ALL the newest and best Dead seeds come from, rare shns of bands not normally seen on etree and the like. you can get downloads going as fast as 300KB/sec (more?) and EVERYONE can be downloading the show at once. So basically you can post a show once, and literally hundreds can download a blazing speeds. Retention for a show is about 2-3 days depending on your service. I know some of you know about the good ole newsgroups, but for those who don't, get on it!!!

1) go to http://www.forteinc.com/agent/download.php and download Agent of FreeAgent.

2)click this and install the tutorial for agent. its easy and will tell you how to set it up, login to newsgroups, and download files: http://www.smr-usenet.com/files/agent.chm

3) subscribe to the following groups and download mass amounts of kick-ass shns!! people under the cap, be aware, this IS highly addicting. here are some recomended groups:

YO Treyter. Seriously, i don't know what the frick is up witih the sneezing!! Every once in a while i start to sneeze, just at the point where im starting to get drunk...weird. its usually a good sign though:) generally means its the start of a good night.....which in some cases can lead to barf!!

While listening to some Nero and reading about camel toe (pudds, you little freak:) I started to think about some of my favorite sayings/catch phrases/prefixes/etc....

I am quite partial things that allow for the descriptor "unsavoury" to be used. Don't know why, just love it. Also, anything that i can drop a "pseudo" in front of is usually funny to me as well. And last, but probably least (depending on what is considered tasteful), I recently heard the phrase "growing a tail"......very unsavoury, yet cause for laughter.

What is everyone else's favourite catch phrases, sayings, etc....

the sneezes just keep coming and coming...then i yarf. I made my friend puke by watching me do this once. Im like, "dude, if this sneezing doesn't stop soon, im gonna puke..." So he wanted to see....

yo pudds. the following is a post i made a few months ago on the topic of shn. after you download a show in shn, follow this little guide:

OK. First go Here: http://home.att.net/~mkw/mkwact.html

and download the official release (.96f). Don't worry about the runtime libraries. Install it on your computer.

once installed, open the program. Choose "options" and then select "file options". Browse to the directories where you want mkw to dump the .wav files when working. I usually just have a folder named "wav" inside of my download directory to which all the .wav files get dumped. Now, while still in the "file options" menu, check the following: create subdirectories, generate md5 after compressing, report md5 verification only on errors. You may also choose to select "delete input files after processing". basically, if you leave it checked, the original files you are working with will be deleted when turned into a different format. its up to you

OK, that should be all you need in setting up mkwact. Now, go to the directory you have downloaded shn files to. First, you'll want to check the integrity of the files. right click on the md5 and choose "verify". once the checksum has completed without errors you're good to go. Now, highlight all the .shn files, right click and choose decode to wav. mkwact will now process all of the files and turn them into .wav files. These can now be burned in your favorite burning software (i.e., ezcd, nero, cdrwin, etc). when burning make sure to select the DAO or "disc at once" option. I have to go to work now....hope this helped.

OH YEAH! to play shn files through winamp, go to etree.org and download the "shnamp" pluggin. follow their directions and you should have no problem...
