my guess is one of the computers has a domain assigned and shouldn't, or the workgroup names don't match - usually 'workgroup' is the default name...check those. Also, turn on file sharing on folders before looking for computers. If he's on a router, does he use static or dynamic ip's?? Make them all static.

I've never heard of it before, but it's been advertised in the last two EQ magazines...strange. It looks pretty cool, and i'm sure amazon or indigo/chapters could get it-maybe a bit late for a christmas present but I figured some of you folks would like it.
