  1. Yeah monitor is fine...no probs, it's only 4 years old, has digital menu controls on the front, i even have the manual for it.

.28mm dot pitch, nonglare, up to 70kHz refresh, I'm pretty sure it's made by LG although it's branded Crystalview...

does upto 1280x1084 it says, though I ran it at 1024x768 all the time...

  2. hehehe not sure where I stole 'metric pantload' but i've been chuckling on that one for weeks. anyways...

alright so my home computer took a crap and i'm gonna get rid of it and all my parts. The silenced case and powersupply are spoken for, here's all the goods. I'm in O-town this weekend so could bring stuff too. No more post-Ween parking lot parts deals(had to be there...)

Buy a bunch and i'll make it cheaper if I don't have to do much running around or shipping. Of course if there is probs with anything i'll take it back, but it's all good stuff as far as I know...email me stickymidget at hotmail.com

  3. my guess is one of the computers has a domain assigned and shouldn't, or the workgroup names don't match - usually 'workgroup' is the default name...check those. Also, turn on file sharing on folders before looking for computers. If he's on a router, does he use static or dynamic ip's?? Make them all static.

  4. wow weird that he's playing the small places...I remember him on the Lollapalooza stage and at the Concert Hall in TO... If the Bass player still has the cherry red standup i'd go just to see that. oh and some kickin' rockabilly...

Ever heard "Where In The Hell Did You Go With My Toothbrush?" ??

  5. The secret to a good steak is to only flip it once, and you my man have flipped between bands that are 'original' and 'need to do covers' a few times. seems more daily whim than opinion.

Since you pointed out Nero i can think of a good handful without a text reference:

Run Like Hell, Peaches, Hockey Night, Fave Things, 3rd Stone, Carol of the Bells, Come Together...a healthy serving...

Just won't be happy till you hear those magic 12 letters from across the room eh?

    M-E-T-H-O-D-O-F-L-O-V-E....

  6. Sounds cool - I won't be a dick about it like 'hammilton rocks' but just a couple clarifications maybe....

Although "Six Finger Groove" sounds pornariffic, I think the band is Six FOOT Groove.

Also, i'm interested in this Quartertones....besides DJ Serious I'm pretty sure Grant Green has been dead since 79 and Roy Ayers usually hits bigger venues...Bob James is no slouch either....are they sampled? 3 other players that sound like them??

  7. cool, looks good bouche - only thing I think is weird is the 'view' and 'replies' columns are switched from what they were and what most other msg boards are...throwing me off thinking some of these threads have 100+replies(well except the survivor one...)

all in all very cool! can't wait to root around...

  8. You need Ass Pocket Full of Whiskey, the one with Jon Spencer blues explosion(all 3 of em!) and Kenny Brown on it...fuggin rocks, and funny too. He's a hoot in concert, and there is an R.L. bootleg out there, i think it's a real release now tho....it's great, with his grandson on drums...

  9. Hey any of you guys ever seen this book?

    http://www.backbeatbooks.com/cgi-bin/shopspecific/store/products/0879307234.html

    Here's some photos:

    http://www.backbeatbooks.com/gdpg/gdpg_index.html

I've never heard of it before, but it's been advertised in the last two EQ magazines...strange. It looks pretty cool, and i'm sure amazon or indigo/chapters could get it-maybe a bit late for a christmas present but I figured some of you folks would like it.

  10. Mercury Rev - All is Dream/Deserter's Songs

Dave Fridmann is the coolest producer...the sounds on these albums are just amazing and rich...

Rheostatics - Night of the Shooting Stars....recent show spurred me to give this some more attention...

Lemonjelly-s/t and new album(very little info on the packaging...)

    So magical sounding...humorous and intense

    all at the same time...

Blue States- Nothing Changes Under the Sun

more magical tunes kinda like lemonjelly, with more strings and moody tunes.
