Jaimoe
Just a side-note: Holland's trombonist is The Tonight Show's Kevin Eubank's older brother Robin. Holland also plays on a few of Kevin Eubank's cds. Talented family.

Mark C
have fun at that show - he's awesome. If anyone wnats to hear an awesome recent work of his, you should pick up the Bill Frisell cd with he and Elvin Jones. It's sick!

dave-O
Well now you've done it... anybody catch Frisell at the Tulip Fest last May? Mind blowing!
bradm
I was at that show. Wow. He poured so much raw, human emotion (think Jeff Beck's covers of "'Cause We've Ended Up As Lovers" and "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat") that it was out beyond "jazz" guitar and into soundscape/music-as-feeling territory. Mind-blowing, heart-wrenching, soul-enhancing.I'm now on the lookout for the Frisell/Holland/Jones disc (whose name is it filed under?).Aloha, Brad
gentlemonkey
Didn't he pull out a 'back on the chain gang' or another Pretenders tune for the encore? That was a great show.. I also had a blast at Antibalas. I recall the encore, all the heady people stood right at the stage and smoked them out, it was great.. Tulip Fest is so fun..
