paisley
Weightless Flight Article Some of my flight-mates took anti-nausea meds like the scopolamine-Dexedrine cocktail popular with NASA flyers. Those taking "scopedex" time their hits like deadheads dropping acid before a show -- "Should I take it now? I want it to kick in before takeoff time so I'm good to go when the parabolas start." Velvet
Marc Garneau explained to me how you go to the bathroom in outer space. It's a three day training program, so I guess it's just go go go for 72 hours. The dedication of our astronauts, eh?
CyberHippie
Everyone's giggling uncontrollably -- all there is to do when you float for the very first time is laugh. Awesome read!
Ms.Huxtable
The dedication of our astronauts, eh? Hmph. They get paid to take a trip to outter space. Justin Timberlake had to pay millions and he's still just on the waiting list. I say them Astronaugts have it pretty darn good.

bradm
imagine the dance moves you could have.. puts new meaning to "O what a feeling when i'm dancing on the ceiling" Go read The Stardancers by Spider Robinson and his wife Jeanne. Spider's an SF writer, and Jeanne is a choreographer. The books are about a dancer, sidelined by an injury (IIRC), who switches to dancing in space, where her injury doesn't matter. Ms.Huxtable
I spent a few years at a drop zone and met a woman who had a hip injury. Some people do formations, some are all about the fast canopy landings but her specialty in the sport was sky dancing. She was so amazing to watch (on video tape of course) and she had a grace in the sky that she didn't have on the ground. Just beautiful.
