Ms.Huxtable
The Blind Boys of Alabama are coming to Ottawa. :) December 22nd, they play the Dominion Chalvers United Church. Anyone know where that is? I'm not too familiar with Churches.

Jaimoe
You will be guaranteed great acoustics for this show. If there's one thing churches have is great acoustics.

Cosmic ChrisC
Hmm. I think I'd like to go to this. I saw them open for Peter Gabriel in Montreal a few years ago. They're probably much better in a smaller setting, especially a church. Churches have great acoustics. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is playing in January at the Centrepointe Theatre. I went to the Preservation Hall when I was in New Orleans. That was cool. I then saw the Preservation Hall Jazz Band at the NAC (not the same band members though who played in NO), and it just wasn't the same. It didn't feel right to see them in a theatre setting. And there were a lot of old people there who didn't really move much in their seat. Maybe they were stoned.
