balogna pogna Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 One time at a Ratdog show in 1997 (Hershey PA I think) I showed up with no tickets, and bought a counterfeit ticket (as the shady scalpers know how bad people need to see Bobby), was humiliated by the people at the gate for trying to get in with a counterfeit ticket (who knew?). Apparently there is a poser on here, but I don't think it's me, and it's definately not Hux or Esau... Did you ever hear of a Phish fan giving another fan grief for loving one member more than the others? All this Bobby love is in no way hate for Phil or Jerry (as some people seem to be taking it...). It's simply admiration for a guy with a great voice, great songwriting, and great guitar playing... And to be honest, he's the only surviving Dead member that still is a triple threat - great playing, great live shows and great singing (Phil drops the ball on that last one). So why all the hate? secondtube Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 i can say one thing. two of the best shows i've EVER saw were both Ratdog shows (one in Detroit, and one in Toronto). The worst concert i ever saw at the Ampitheatre (yes, worse than Santana!) was Phil. They both put on a good show...but bobby seems to deliver a lot more consistantly.
