TomFoolery
Rookies. Its all about ignoring the menu altogether. Chicken, proscuito and hot salami. Eggplant, lettuce, tomatoe and mayo. You ready for this... Top it with big chunks of parmesan cheese cut off the block with a knife (grating is for wimps).

Del
Sadly, after living in Ottawa for 6 1/2 months, I still have yet to try my first Dirienzo's sandwich... I've heard nothing but good things, but I want to go there with someone who knows what the "good stuff" is... Remember, I don't eat many vegetables (well, none really) and love my love meat and cheese... Maybe next weekend?
bradm
Heck, I've lived in Ottawa for the past fourteen years and haven't been to Dirienzo's yet. (Working in Kanata makes it tough to go there for lunch, and when I'm at home, I usually eat lunch at home.) Aloha, Brad

bouche
Del, You won't even have to get in line at Dirienzo's to quench your appetite. There are meatlover sandwiches pre-made and still warm at the door. You just pick one or 2, pay and walk out. Homemade Roast Beef Homemade Meatloaf Homemade Pork Chicken Parmeasan mmmmmmmmmmm and they have the best samosa's!
Del
Well, I eat lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers... Are potatoes vegetables? 'Cause I eat those... Corn... I just don't eat a lot of different vegetables... I'm on the Freeker diet...
gentlemonkey
so.... basically, you eat vegetables that can be served on or with a burger?
bouche
Rubberdingy....are potatos vegetables ? I wouldn't call them a serving of vegetable, that's for sure. Corn, probably doesn't count for much veggy nutrition either. They do have lettuce and tomatoes for toppings. That's pretty much it, aside for the pickled and spiced stuff. Del
Basically... Although potatoes and corn are more of a roast beef/turkey/chicken side dish...

bouche
ms.hux and I made garlic mashed cauli one night and we were very impressed by them. With enough butter, salt, garlic and cheese, it could be mashed poop and it'd taste great! We now return to Dirienzo's - Ottawa !

AdamH
If you've never roasted cauliflower...do it. cut it up, toss it in olive oil and garlic and roast it at 450 for 35 or 40 minutes. It ends up tasting like french fries but it's way better for you.
