Patchoulia
So I decided to check out one of the VH1 radio stations today...and I'm actually enjoying it! The station is Axis and since I've been listening, I've heard the following artists: Sonic Youth Joni Mitchell Jack Johnson Badly Drawn Boy Led Zeppelin Squeeze Crosby Stills & Nash George Harrison :: I can't wait to find out what's next... Patchoulia
I switched over to VH1's "Jambands" station...lo and behold, I hear a familiar sound...sure enough, they're playing some BNB! Nice!
Kaidy Mae
Right on! Thanks for the hot tip. I'm checking it out right now. So sweet...much sweeter than the awful Chay 93.1 that comes out of my office phone. *shudder* Thanks SP!
Patchoulia
I'm so psyched..Foxtrot Zulu's on now..haven't heard them in ages!!
Kaidy Mae
OOOHHH! Now WSP goodies from 'Til From the Medicine Takes. I don't know why, but that's just one of those albums I always seem to lose.
Patchoulia
You're clearly getting different stuff than I am... They're playing Moth from No Doy on my VH1 Jamband radio! This is so much fun!
bradm
I've got the jambands station on now, and it's playing Ozric Tentacles ("Spiralmind" from the "Waterfall Cities" album). I noticed that when I connected, it started right at the beginning of a track (some Scofield), so I think it streams different stuff to each listener. Aloha, Brad
Patchoulia
I heard some Scofield earlier, too (it was sweet, actually). I just heard a Zero song and now its playing The New Deal. I think you're right--different randomization for each listener.
Kaidy Mae
Yeah, totally different streams. I've had some live Afro-Blue on for the past few minutes. No Scofield or moe. yet. Weird.
Patchoulia
I think it can read my mind... It's playing one of my favourites--the Ominous Seapods--"Bong Hits and Porn". I had to shut my office door and turn it up!

Kaidy Mae
Now Karl Denson?!? You're right, this thing can read my mind. My coworkers hate me. Fu©k it! I've paid my dues by listening to that shite Rod Stewart jazz album a gazillion times. Booooo!
bradm
WTF? I've got Bruce Cockburn ("The Gift" from "Big Circumstance") on right now. Who woulda thunk he'd get the "jamband" label? Aloha, Brad
Kaidy Mae
Anyone else playing the "shoot the paparazzi" game?Bathtub Gin from Hampton Comes Alive? Sweet! Too bad I only have 11 minutes left of work for today. "Too bad", I mean...YIPPPPPEEEEEEE!!! ::

bradm
Today's question to ponder: under what circumstances could Jane's Addiction be played on the VH1 Jambands radio station? Answer: When they cover "Ripple" by The Grateful Dead (on the "Deadicated" album, which has Dead tunes by other artists, to benefit the rain forest). Patchoulia
best part is when WSP comes on jambands radio you can hit the skip button. gotta love hitech radio. Isn't the skip feature awesome? I found myself using it only once yesterday...some seemingly interminable Umphrey's song(I even gave it a chance, but I think my ears were bleeding, so I had to move on). RayRay
I just tuned in to some BNB, sweet!
Kaidy Mae
Much better pickin's today! So far some sweet MMW, Phish, Little Feat, Charlie Hunter, The Zen Tricksters, etc. I am curious as to how Kenny Rogers is a jam artist though. (Hehehe...recalling the Just Dropped In scene from the Big Lebowski is putting a smile on my face). But still no BNB.
