gentlemonkey
that was some of the heaviest music i have seen...whoa!! Im assuming it wasnt the fiddle/banjo/dobro instrumentation the quartet used at blues fest? I much prefer frisell in a jazz trio setting, but always enjoy whatever he is doing. Pedal
that was some of the heaviest music i have seen...whoa!! Im assuming it wasnt the fiddle/banjo/dobro instrumentation the quartet used at blues fest? It was. Danny Barnes (the guy from the Bad Livers and on the "Willies" CD by Frisell), Greg Leisz, Jenny Scheinmann, David Piltch and Frisell. Very cool mellow show with a great folk/American vibe. I recognized a few of the songs Lost Highway by Hank Williams, a few traditonal tunes - Cluck Old Hen and Pretty Polly, I Don't Wanna Grow Up by Tom Waits and Big Girl Blues by Danny Barnes. Did anybody know the names of the instumental tunes?
