Im with you Mr Slippery...dont think Charlton will be any match to Chelsea, they might be 4-0-0 but the have played 3 shite teams and 1 mediocre team which they did win 3-0 but its still September and by November they could be dead last...

as for chelski vs addicks i'm thinking more like 3-0 or maybe even 4-1, depending on how deep charlton defend- they realistically can't just sit back and soak it up for 90 minutes, I'm thinking they'll try to stick it to the blues a la wigan on the opening day...

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has accused the Football Association of 'lacking the guts' to sack Sven-Goran Eriksson. The straight-talking Yorkshireman insists Eriksson should be removed immediately but feels the FA lack the bottle required to carry out the task.

'Sven-Goran Eriksson would have been sacked by now if it was up to me,' he told the Manchester Evening News.

'It's obvious the FA don't have the guts to get rid of the England manager even though he has had his chance and should be replaced.

'The whole system and pattern of play under Sven is flawed. We seem to have lost the plot.'

Given the choice, Whelan would like to see Eriksson's number two Steve McClaren handed the job, with fledgling Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce as his assistant.
