badams
Blue Jackets forward Rick Nash sustained what appeared to be a sprained ankle after hitting the boards feet-first during a scrimmage Wednesday, general manager Doug MacLean said.Nash, who tied Atlanta Thrashers forward Ilya Kovalchuk for the NHL lead in goals two years ago, was helped from the ice and taken to Grant Medical Center, where X-rays revealed no broken bones, MacLean said. Results of an MRI exam should be available Thursday, MacLean said.Nash, who had 41 goals in 2003-04, re-signed with Columbus in August, agreeing to a five-year, $27 million US contract. The 21-year-old left wing was a restricted free agent. He was the first overall pick of the 2002 draft. In 2003, Nash had 17 goals and 39 points. He played with Davos of the Swiss league during the NHL lockout last year, finishing with 27 goals and 47 points.

Blane
Those are some weak stats for someone who scored 41 in the N yeah, but he probably got that in 20 games. I actually had the chance to see him play (along with Thornton, Briere, Aebisher, etc.) in the Swiss league last winter. Good times, even though the pace is slower and less action-packed. Cool to see these guys in a 5,000 person rink.

SevenSeasJim
why pass when you can score especially when you know that whom ever recieves that pass can't shoot....Thinking that he's not a good pick for the hockey pool for total points. Now if he scores 20 game winning goals....maybe
Jaimoe
He's a kid that will became more rounded in the last year and a half - see the World Championships and Europe. Columbus has done some good signings in the " off-season ". I'm betting Nash won't be a total Neely type scorer. Yes I know Booche, spoken like a guy who drafted him.
