and now ive got a question.

is there one definitive "bird" language, or are there varying dialects between different species?

this is why i ask. im at my folks house now, and they have a lovely backyard. As i sat on the deck, enjoying the wisps of smoke as they curled from my appreciative face, approximately 12 robins and 5-6 blue jays flew in and landed on the back lawn, one by one, till the whole group of em was meandering about. this meandering continued for several minutes, until one of the jays flew off into the neighbours tree. over the next few minutes, the others all followed, again one by one, till all had left the lawn and flown to the tree.

do robins speak blue jay?

do blue jays speak robin?

do robins and blue jays speak bird?

was this a weird coincidence?

are the birds messing with me?

perhaps i shoulda put this in the "hamilton" thread. oh well, its here now.

thoughts?

:/???
