Dr. J
This is good news indeed. My fear, when the Hearts quit doing their weekly gig at the Montreal House in Peterborough, was that it was all over, which would be sad. They're simply too good to lose .......and yes to an Ottawa show!

BanburyParkRecords
Hey - We made it to the Globe and Mail!!!http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20051125/CLUBS25/TPEntertainment/MusicSilver Hearts Holiday Revue. Peterborough's dozen-strong woozy-saloon ensemble the Silver Hearts has always had an eye for novelty, doing stunts like covering Tom Waits's Raindogs album in its entirety. This time around, they're carrying off their own variation on The Band's Last Waltz, serving as hosts and backing group for such guest vocalists as Serena Ryder, the Deadly Snakes' Andre Ethier, Justin Rutledge, bluesman Paul Reddick and more. Dr_Evil_Mouse
I had to read that a couple of times, to make sure it didn't say like the Last Waltz. Wow! I'd love to hear Trevor singing Ophelia....
timouse
I had to read that a couple of times, to make sure it didn't say like the Last Waltz. Wow! I'd love to hear Trevor singing Ophelia.... indeed. that very thought has me willing to go to toronto on a school night for a show do the silverhearts allow taping? seems to me that this would be a keeper... BanburyParkRecords
Hey Guys Just to clear that up, they are not going to be "doing" the Last Waltz - the globe just mentioned that it was "their own variation" on the Last Waltz - i.e. some of their own tunes, and backing with the other artists.... .....we were just happy to get mentioned in the Globe - if you read the original press release at the top of the thread, that is a good description of the show. Sorry about the confusion, but I KNOW that the show will not disappoint! See you there!! Steve
