Montreal Canadien defenceman Andrei Markov has received an automatic three-game suspension for shoving a linesman after Saturday night's game between the Habs and Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

There is no video evidence of the offence, but the incident was written up in the referees' report to the league and Markov's suspension, under rule 76(a), category three, calls for an automatic three-game suspension, although there is a provision for an appeal.

I think this is dangerous for the Sens... Playing as well as they are and having the Habs with so many problems.... Sometimes in sports this is when the underdog turns around and destroys people...

The game will hopefully be close tomorrow. I can't wait.

Lost 6 out of 8, top forward out, top defenceman out, goalie and captain playing through injury, 2nd and 3rd line centers not producing any points...

I'd say it's pretty bad. But things can only go up from here, so I'm far from giving up on this great team.
