badams Posted November 28, 2005 Report Share Posted November 28, 2005 Montreal Canadien defenceman Andrei Markov has received an automatic three-game suspension for shoving a linesman after Saturday night's game between the Habs and Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.There is no video evidence of the offence, but the incident was written up in the referees' report to the league and Markov's suspension, under rule 76(a), category three, calls for an automatic three-game suspension, although there is a provision for an appeal. Sometimes in sports this is when the underdog turns around and destroys people...The game will hopefully be close tomorrow.
