TEA LEAF GREEN

San Francisco's Tea Leaf Green is poised to take the music scene by storm. Having amazed growing audiences in the Bay Area throughout the past few years, they have become one of the fastest evolving musical acts on the West Coast. TLG's powerful rock and roll style allows the band to feature their diverse songwriting sensibilities and astounding amounts of raw talent. While TLG's roots are firmly planted in rock history, you are certain to be wowed by the sheer power of instrumental exploration, sensitive lyrical melodies and diverse range through the evening's performance.

First time fans are initially drawn into Josh Clark's handy work on the lead guitar, quickly absorbing the influences of rock legends such as Jimi Hendrix or Duane Allman. Clearly gifted in the pursuit of musical peaks, Josh is joined by singer/songwriter Trevor Garrod on the pianos. Trevor's foundation lays in the spirit of Folk Rock, yet his own passion allows for more complex Neil Young-esque melodies and brilliant harmonies to continue the elevation of the jam. On the bass, we have Franz Hanzerbeak. Growing out of the Northern California high country, Franz's consistent foundation and energetic releases gives Tea Leaf Green that special blend of joyous celebration which keeps you wanting more. On the drum, Mr. Scott Rager is the glue which holds it all together laying down solid beats to allow for a brilliant array of musical exploration.

Together, the Tea Leaf Green ensemble has the ability to take fans on a journey spanning all musical genres and delivering blistering next level epic peaks in one moment while cascading into a breathtaking moment of reflection grounded in true lyrical genius. As the bands momentum builds, audiences are left awe struck and amazed at the sheer intensity and good time feelings that emanate from the stage. In true Live Music fashion, Tea Leaf Green feeds off the audience's energy night after night, creating a collective musical experience that is both remarkable and historic.

you¨ll never believe it but I heard Tea Leaf Green today at a Taco Stand in Santa Theresa, at first it sounded like Phish then a bit like the Dead, but I had a sneaking suspicion, so I asked the waiter and it was his friends IPOD.. then talking to him , revealed that it was Tea Leaf Green and it was their buddy from San Fran who was cranking it... made my day!

In between Christmas and New Year’s of 2004, Tea Leaf Green stopped by the KPFA studios in Berkeley to play live on David Gans' radio show. We were privileged to simulcast the show on nugs.net radio that night, and we are pleased to present the show for download now on nugs.net.
