thatpatguy
I know everyone is getting all excited for bluesfest, but don't forget the great acts coming to the jazz festival as well.Maceo Parker, the greatest funk sax player ever, is playing this Thursday, June 29th at Confederation Park. Talk about a great way to start your Canada Day weekend!I'll be there for sure, I've never missed Maceo when he's come to town!
Sunshine
there's some free concerts at lunch hour too.I saw an act yesterday at the World Exchange court yard, and I know there's another one Wednesday at noon.
ollie
I'm all over the McCoy Tyner Septet on June 30th. I'm hoping to catch their set before heading over to Mavericks for Burties and Elkas.Watched the Blind Boys from the McKenzie King bridge last Friday. They sounded great. And even cramped in by the bushes on the bridge people managed to find space for their lawnchairs.

Blane
someone would probably make some good coin selling anti-lawn chair t-shirts at festival gigs Just need tungsten to whip up some stickers and you could have a real popular revolt! Prost
Man, I would love to come up to Ottawa early this weekend and catch this show but I don't think it's in the cards. Ohh well, it will still be a kick ass weekend with Burt/Elkas and the Canada Day Bash. Rock On!
