I went to a popular hotel bar last night to check out a band and must have been propositioned like 10 times by "bar girls". Definately not the "beer and set of music" I had in mind. THe crowd consisted of about 39% single white men and 60% Indonesian girls looking for a "date". Pretty friggin' uncomfortable for a "Mr. PC" like myself. I think I'll take it easy until I get out of Jakarta and stick to the poolside. I imagine it's worst here in the capital, and will be a lot more chill once I get to the smaller cities. Starting work tomorrow, doing a workshop with teachers at the Muslim state university. Really looking forward to seeing what that will be like!
