StoneMtn
I should say that I actually didn't start this thread for no reason at all. I started it because I find that when you tell people that you think that Lyle Lovett is an incredible songwriter and musician, they often look at you to see if you're kidding, and say, "Seriously?"It usually turns out that they really don't know what he sounds like, and think he's just some guy with funny hair who plays cowboy songs. In fairness, he does play a little cowboy music, but even that is amazing. In my opinion, though, most of his music is really more similar to blues, albeit often with a bit of a "twang".Anyway, I love his tunes and I wanted the world to know it. dave-O
My wife owns Road to Ensenada. It's the only Lyle Lovett I've heard and I absolutely love the tone of his voice. Nice reminder that I need to look up more of his stuff.
StoneMtn
Nice. If even only one person is turned on to Lyle by this thread, I feel I have done my job.
