MarcO
it's ok (not ideal but ok) to have more than one song by the same artist on a list, but obviously not the same song twice.

Rob Not Bob
Not an easy topic, this ain't the 60's.There's lots of songs protesting this particular war (heck, Neil Young did a whole CD of them) , but the limitation to release in 2007 is probably stumping a lot of people. Kanada Kev
Too many wimpy artists on the "big labels" these days. They don't have the balls like the Dixie Chicks did. Too afraid of losing their contracts. Fuck 'em. I couldn't believe the negativity targeted at the artists that participated in the Vote For Change Tour in 2004 (Springsteen, REM, Fogerty, Dixie Chicks, Pearl Jam, DMB, Mellencamp, etc. GREAT concert I was lucky to attend in Detroit What a great experience being at a show that stood for something. I hope they do it again.

I guess BR figures it was worth a shot, since crying about difficulty of a theme worked (to make it easier) for folks right after labour day... But, I can think of a few songs without repeating an artist *cough*Jason Isbell Linda Thompson Randy Newman*cough* that would finish this off, but until today I hadn't opened this thread since my post in the last topic..
