I have to object to these entries: neither title refers to doing some particular thing (like driving, shaking me, dancing, playing it, chugging) all night long.

Aloha,

Brad

Brad,

Someone with your intellect should certainly see that Lionel was IMPLYing an "all night" activity.

He certainly may have been, but the title of the song contains nothing (i.e., no thing, no specific word or words) that refers to that activity. I claim it's invalid to state that he must have been referring to "this" specific activity, simply because he didn't refer to any specific activity; it's assumptive and unprovable, except by listening to the song. (But this theme isn't about and in no way involves the songs themselves*, it's about their titles.)

I figured the board members were smart enough to see this. Are you trying to say they aren't?

Nope, I'm just saying those titles didn't meet the definition, as written, of theme.

Aloha,

Brad

* Except for the usual rules about having been on an official release, etc.
