The guy sitting beside me put on a Don Ross video he has on his laptop (sorry I can't link to it). ANYWHO.... Don Ross said that he used to play with just his fingertips and that was fine while he played alone. Then his friend turned him on to plastic finger picks which were okay, but then one day he was walking by a nail salon and had a Eureka moment.
