NewRider
I also dig that cover! I HATE this cover... gross.. a young Eric Stoltz topless.
Jaimoe
I can't wait for that Stripes album to hit the stores. Jack describes it as really heavy and bluesy with some country too.

Jaimoe
I have to say that the Icky cover isn't too flattering, but it has a long way to go before it can be considered in the "worst ever" realm.
Dr_Evil_Mouse
Thanks, Jaimoe - that was a good rapid-fire of big belly laughs .
Jaimoe
Any Al Di Meola cover, as long as his picture is on it, could make a "worst ever" list. The guy is slimy cheese all the way. Peter Allen covers are just plain hilarious.
Esau.
Perhaps not the worst ever, but it makes me laugh and I saw this thread as a good excuse to post it.

Nice one Alabama Man. BTW.. there's still tickets for Son Volt and ex Drive-By Trucker Jason Isbell for Thursday. Come with us.. I hear he's covering "Jailbreak" on some shows! Jaimoe
I can't go along with singling out one of Rita's album covers. She looks like a sweet person on that cover and it's a tasteful shot of a very short yet very large woman.

bradm
While a lot of those covers are really bad, and really cheezy, I think it's a safe bet that the music on them is equally bad and cheezy. I think it's a rare record indeed that combines really good music with a really cheezy cover. For example Ginger Baker, Charlie Haden, and Bill Frisell, with Bela Fleck guesting on a couple of tracks (including a cover of Charlie Parker's "Au Privave"). Musically, it's outstanding; graphically, that cover makes me want to take a Sharpie to it and eradicate its visual presence from my CD shelf. Aloha, Brad
