Booche Posted July 22, 2007 Report Share Posted July 22, 2007 Yeah, I need some help. I saw this earlier today and the only show I am remotely considering is the Glens Falls gig. Has ANYONE ever heard of this Jackie Green dude?Is he a good fit? Is he a multi-instrumentalist?Does he sing? Does he write songs? Are they good?I'll research him up as much as I can and probably pay attention to the word on the street regarding the shows before I think about buying a ticket but anything offered up now is gold since I trust a good many of you on this board.One thing I know is that Phil likes to take chances but when I am laying out 50-60 bucks for a ticket, I dont like to......especially when I have heard some of the end results.And dont bother saying what I know most of you are probably thinking.Booche, stop being such a whore for Jimmy Herring. His presense is somewhere between Dylan and Springsteen, but he's also a monstrous musician, I think he plays all the instruments on his records. Don't know a whole lot about him, I was only turned onto him a couple weeks before I heard him on the Band Tribute album earlier this year (maybe last year?).
