'We will not allow others to illegally divert tickets away from fans.'—Sean Moriarty, TicketmasterTicketmaster alleges RMG's programs help buyers gain fast access to the ticket pool, diverting tickets away from fans. The company says scalpers then resell the tickets at higher prices on other online ticket sites. Ticketmaster filed its lawsuit against RMG in April."We will not allow others to illegally divert tickets away from fans," said Ticketmaster chief executive Sean Moriarty in a statement.In her ruling, Collins referred to a recent incident involving inflated prices for Hannah Montana concert tickets. I've seen more than one story in the past few weeks about what a problem this has been on the Hannah Montana tour.
