Canadian-born multi-instrumentalist David Levy is the founder and leader of Out to Lunch. David is a graduate of New England Conservatory's contemporary improvisation program, and McGill University's jazz and classical performance program. David can be heard as a sideman on Verve Remixed 3 (Universal Records), as well as on the Junior Boys, So This Is Goodbye, and Last Exit (Domino Records). David plays bass clarinet, alto saxophone and bansuri flute; as well, he is heavily involved in electronic production.

Tenor and soprano saxophonist Petr Cancura was born in Jindrichuv Hradec, Czech Republic. Petr completed a masters degree at the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Apart from his work with Out to Lunch, Petr plays along side The Mighty Popo, Holly Larocque Big Band, and People Music.

Josiah Woodson completed his masters degree in jazz performance in trumpet and flute at New England Conservatory under full scholarship. He works as a sideman touring throughout the United States with groups based in Boston, New York and Oakland. When not on the road, Josiah spends much of his time composing for both jazz ensemble and orchestra.

Eric Lane's prodigious talents have allowed him to carve out a niche for himself as one of the most interesting pianists and keyboard players on the east coast. Eric's ability to understand the nature of groove oriented music, combined with his depth as an interpreter of avant-garde has made him an extraordinarily well-rounded and compelling musician. Eric is currently finishing a jazz degree at the New England Conservatory.

Electric and Upright bassist Matt Wigton joined Out to Lunch in 2006 after it relocated from Boston to New York City. His ability to move effortlessly from funk grooves to walking jazz bass lines made him the perfect fit. Apart from Out to Lunch he is busy on the New York music scene playing in a variety of bands that include Lily Maase's: The Suite Unraveling, Zach Brock and the Coffee Achievers, and Elizabeth and the Catapult.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, drummer and sound designer Frederick Kennedy studied with Ed Soph at the University of North Texas and now makes his home in New York City. Recently, Fred has completed tours to Europe, California, and Ecuador. Fred has had the opportunity to perform with many notable artists, including David Krakauer, Sheryl Bailey, Tim Hagans, Ben Monder, Bobby Shew, Joe LoCascio, Lynn Seaton, Philip Glass, Iva Bitova, Trevor Dunn, Andrew DÂ’Angelo, Chris Speed, Ralph Allessi, and Shane Endsley.

I like that poster.

Very much liking that sound..though it kinda gave me a flashback to an acid jazz band circa maybe 1995..can't remember their name but DO remember seeing them at a big ravish party in Ottawa ..I think called Cosmic and at one of the universities. It gets blurry.
