CyberHippie
Strange, but not the the strangest ever... For some reason country boys have a soft spot for ZZ Top. My dad was a hard core country western fan, didn't like rock at all. But back in the day he'd be all over that show. He used to get such a kick out of "those guys with the long beards". Rob Not Bob
I always thought The Who and The Grateful Dead were a bit strange together. Also The Jam and Blue Oyster Cult (for that matter, Japan and Blue Oyster Cult). Edited April 26, 2008 by Guest
Jaimoe
I always thought The Who and The Grateful Dead were a bit strange together. I don't know how their audiences could have co-existed in peace. Who audiences are notoriously unfriendly to any band but The Who (see: The Clash and especially Joe "Hit in the face with a loaded hotdog" Jackson) and if there was any aging mods around at the time of the tour, I hope they didn't stupidly single out any rockers (aka Hell's Angels). SaggyBalls
New Country is just southern twanged pop-rock. Garth Brooks is a huge kiss fan. I'm not suprised. Most of those pairings aren't wierd. Philip glass and Ravi Shankar? not even that's wierd. Maybe Enya and Alanis Morisette would be a strange pairing. She'd probablly make some sort of misguided comment about the irony of it all or something.

The Chameleon
I don't find that pairing so strange. ZZ top are shitkickin' good ol' boys and so are Brooks & Dunn. However ZZ top is the only act I'd pay to see.
