fluffhead77 Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 Made this last night for dinner and it was awesome... couple modifications to the recipe though. 1/2 lbs. sashimi grade blue fin tuna cut into cubes 4 ramp leaves cut into a chiffonade (if you can’t get ramps, use scallions) 1/4 C rehydrated seaweed (I used wakame, but you could use just about anything) 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds 2 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1/2 tsp sugar Added into recipe: tsp fresh minced Ginger, 2 tsp rice vinegar, doubled sesame oil qty too. Phorbsie, we buy ours at LaPointe in the market, but even they will tell you that you should only buy sashimi two days out of the week, when they get their shipments and it's the freshest. I can't recall what the days are, but they'll tell you if you ask.Mike made me an enormous sashimi platter for my birthday and everything was from Lapointe. Ask your fishy guy and he should know when they get there stuff in. Lapointe has a schedule, so try there.sharon made a killer tuna tartar with that last purchase and we shared it with hux and mon.
