ollie
PRICELINE!! PRICELINE!! PRICELINE!!Anything in the downtown Ottawa area will be within decent distance of Bluesfest. Do a search, there have been a bunch of threads about Ottawa hotels recently.
Irie Guy
MoMack see the other thread on Priceline help. I booked Fri, Sat & Sun night for $60 a piece at the Marriott. Priceline Noob Needs Help
phishtaper
there are no hotels in ottawa. it is a very inhospitable town.
Basher
MoMack - how can you pass up the Marriott on Priceline for $60?
AD
you might also want to check the carleton u residences, i think they rent out rooms in the summer. you aren't that close to bluesfest, but you're only 10 minutes on the o-train away. the money saved could be substantial. and there are suites (at least there were when i lived there)and there's ottawa u residences as well, although i don't know anything about them. MoMack
Not passing it up - but I'll book those later. For now I just wanted to book a few suites and see how it pans out...Can always cancel. And I can always book with Priceline later. But if priceline is full...Y'all are booked at the Marriot for $60 already? Maybe I'll just book 2 or 3 there and hope that I have that many folks in tow... livingstoned
try the albert on bay - sweet suites and last year you got 2 passes to the fest with the suite. I stayed there for nero last year and friends stayed there for bluesfest last year. I got a good deal on priceline when I booked!
ollie
Is it close enough to BluesFest etc?Yep, it's walking distance. It's in the same building me and Mike work.

MoMack
The free Fest Passes sounds good too.. maybe I'll check that place out.Have any of you stayed at the Minto? Are they going to give us a hard time for accidentally having a few over night guests (rather than the 2 that I booked for).
elemeno
i highly recommend the albert at bay suites.i got the one bedroom apartment last year for 159 per night direct with the hotel and it included the 2 adult day passes per night. its only takes 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the festival front gates(and thats pushing a stroller!) MoMack
No hotels are giving out free passes this year...so it all comes down to which one will let us pack people in and smoke without charging me an extra $200 fucking bucks!
elemeno
they dont get their passes until much closer to the festival date. just book a room and call closer to the date.
boiler
I think we may go with the Minto instead of the Albert at Bay this time. Minto seems to be offering a better price.
