If us buttwads in Rich Stadium can tell what kind of player he is (blind Sens fans aside) then I am sure someone like Deveaux would see it in his first couple of shifts. If he stays up once Blake is healthy, my apologies, he's an NHL-er. From what the Star said, a couple Sens were jawing at Deveaux, but Deveaux didn't take the bait. Yes, Spezza and Alfie scored in the shootout, but their lack of production during games is very troubling. BTW, how many more years do you have Spezza signed for? That was a deal JFJ would have made. Obviously I havent watched enough Sens games to see the dark side of his play, but it seems to me that most people (non rich stadium fans) seem to hate him cuz of his smirk, which IS kind of annoying, but shit, he can play! It is a very long deal and a lot of money and I think that the money could be spent on a better and more consistent player. That being said, he still is a top tier player in the NHL. Booche Posted November 28, 2008 Report Share Posted November 28, 2008 Bonuses go against the cap at the end of the year and my best guess as to why GM's are rarely employing tie in directly to their bottom line, meaning, they would rather know exactly what they are dealing with when it comes to making 'necessary' trades near the end of the season.
