Rob Not Bob
I just found out my family doctor has retired, so I am now looking for that rarest of creatures, a family doctor who is taking new patients. If anybody knows of one in the downtown area ( I am at Bronson and Somerset), I would be eternally grateful.

bouche
Are people who live in Quebec allowed to use an Ontario doctor? Just asking. depends on what you mean by "use". If you used an Ontario doctor to launder money, and you lived in Quebec, that would be unlawful. So would using an Ontario doctor as a drug mule. slavetothegroove
You can try the Somerset West Community Health Center http://www.swchc.on.ca/ . They have a medical center with doctors accpecting new patients. You have to get on a waiting list but it's not usually more than 3 months. They have a catchment area, but I think you'll be in it and there is a walk in clinic at the center as well.

Ms.Huxtable
I like our doctor in Ottawa, but I do wish we had a family doctor in Quebec instead. Apparently there's absolutely none.We have to pay $30 each visit out of our pocket, then we submit it to the Quebec government for reimbursement. Usually they don't pay the entire expense.Annual examinations, blood tests, etc are even more out of our pocket and less reimbursed.Anyone know of any Quebec doctors that are accepting patients?BTW - I did go to Quebec emergency a couple years ago. It was the best emergency experience I have EVER had. I've been to emergency rooms throughout Ontario more times than I can count.
