Kanada Kev
I know many people could care less, but:Facebook's New Terms Of Service: "We Can Do Anything We Want With Your Content. sam stone
ya Facebook scares me a little...constant updating of personal information and events... friend lists...leaves a bad taste in my mouth. by the way, I just took a shit, pretty cool eh? NewRider
I don't think I'm ever going to hit it big and become really famous so I'm not too concerned with what Facebook thinks they can do with the information I give them.
hamilton
This new message is now sitting at the top of my home page:Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised. If you want to share your thoughts on what should be in the new terms, check out our group Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. Kanada Kev
Want to see the link of powers that be that fund FaceBook?? Conspiracy or not, it's pretty scary: http://www.albumoftheday.com/facebook/final2.swf And here's a brief comparison of TOS from a few social networks up against FaceBook; http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:http%3A//amandafrench.net/2009/02/16/facebook-terms-of-service-compared/ Careful out there kiddies
Basher
Anyone who believes that the things they post on the Interweb are somehow private, on a site that they do not control, is truly ignorant.Sorry, but that's a fact. Most TOS's out there, whether it be GMail, Microsoft, Yahoo etc, pretty much ensure that, in the end, you have no control over what you put out there. This is not new. Freak By Night
I challenge you to find the privacy policy or terms of service for Jambands.ca posted anywhere on this site.I don't know about TOS for jambands.ca, but the TOS for Rich Stadium states that "anything you post will be stored indefinitely by Booche and may be re-posted in the future for the sole purpose of public ridicule". Ms.Huxtable
Listen, people who believe that there's any amount of privacy on the internet are naive. At least Facebook is being open about it. If you don't want something brought back up, years after you thought it would die, DON'T let it get on the internet in the first place. NewRider
I so need to get off the grid...Gonna be the next Kid Rock or something? If the people at Facebook find a way to sell the fact that I love Pabst, The Truckers and like to party more power to 'em. I can't seem to sell that shit to any employers! Perhaps I'm more sought after than I thought! SOMEONE CARES!
