greasyfizeek
How was that even possible???!Just booked my tickets. Is it typical that TM will realize the mistake and cancel the order?
Basher
I have never heard of this happening, but yes, I assume all these orders get canceled. If not - HELL FUCKING YEAH!
greasyfizeek
is it reserved everywhere at Red Rocks? They gave me Row 51. Never been there.

phorbesie
well, it is before the scheduled onsale date, so they can probably canceli'm not holding my breath, but i sure hope they don't cancel!!!
RobL
did you get an email of the transaction. has your credit card beend debted!!!
Basher
They have a line in the legal mumbo jumbo about being able to cancel tickets for a number of reasons - including if they are on sale before specified on sale date and time.Regardless, TM is in for a clusterfuck on this one.Basically anyone that was on PT for a span of 30 minutes got tickets. Same with a few other boards.
YearsAlongTheSea
I don't think they can revoke something they sold you. Just my take on it...
Basher
did you get an email of the transaction. has your credit card beend debted!!!I got an email confirmation, and my credit card has been charged. That doesn't mean anything if they cancel all these tickets. RobL
agreed, i think your golden though. call ticketmaster to confirm.. but i don't think they would cancel. perhaps a phishy gift. the pt crew seems convinced it's real. alot of people scored too. wicked
Basher
Well I think it is safe to say that if these tickets end up being legit, it will be the scalpers that will have to hope and pray for the lottery.
RobL
yup that's one way to defeat the scalpers. get a phish hookup to post this on pt that they just went on sale.. possible.. awesome , did you score aswell phorbsie Edited March 19, 2009 by Guest
Basher
Hidden Track - Briefly: Phish Red Rocks Tickets Onsale Written by Scott Bernstein on 03.18.2009 | PhishSometime near 8PM, Ticketmaster put their allotment of four day passes to Phish’s just announced Red Rocks concerts up for sale nearly a week before the announced onsale date of March 26. Either Phish just came up with an incredibly inventive way to beat the scalpers - the sneak attack, or Ticketmaster screwed up. It remains to be seen whether Ticketmaster will honor the orders placed today. Let us know if you scored tickets.UPDATE: Commenter Noah looked up the Ticketmaster Contract of Service and found this language… If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect regardless of whether because of an error in a price posted on this web site or otherwise communicated to you, or you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or you are able to order a ticket that was not supposed to have been released for sale, then: Ticketmaster will have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund to you the amount that you paid. This will apply regardless of whether because of human error or a transactional malfunction of this web site or other Ticketmaster operated system. YearsAlongTheSea
I hate ticketmaster. That was a roller-coaster; sorry...
Basher
yats - TM may very well honour these tickets. We'll see, but too early to give up hope.Policies are there to cover their asses. It says they have the right to cancel tickets, not that they will cancel tickets.
Hartamophone
Wow, that's wild. It will be really interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously TM has their legal asses covered if they want to revoke the tickets, but at the same time, what harm has been done here? None, as far as I'm concerned. It's not like Ticket Master has any credibility to lose with the average ticket buyer.
Basher
Yes, and the bottom line is the only people that will complain will be those that end up not getting tickets in the public sale next Thursday.Fact is, hardly any of them would have gotten tickets anyway.
