phishtaper
i wonder how much those slamming stern have actually listened to him. i love him. listen every morning and afternoon. it also amuses me how so many people claim that anyone who listens to him must surely be an idiot, etc.
MamaPink
I listen to Stern on my way to work everyday... sure makes the hour go by faster. I guess I'm an idiot too, phishtaper... a happy one, though.
Tricky
I'll listen to Stern once in a while. I don't really take entertainment too seriously though, it's just not that important for me to take it so seriously. Who really gives a rats ass if someone listens to Howard Stern or not? Now Oprah, there's a weirdo! lol. Edited April 14, 2009 by Guest
Schwa.
I've read the entire thread to be sure and not one person here calls any other person any name. not one. so if you feel like an idiot that's your perogative ladies, but let it be known that this has been a 100% non-name calling affair.just as you are allowed to like Stern and listen and enjoy his show, i'm entitled to hate the guy and all he represents.i guess i should also add that yes, i've listened to the show. i was forced to listen to it 5 days a week while commuting to the University of Windsor from Chatham for my final semester of school. I listened to headphones after the first 2 months but my buddy (the driver) loved the show.
hamilton
I think Stern is as interesting as his topic of discussion. When it is a busy news day, he can be quite good, especially when he gets on a roll. On a slow news day, he's just spanking lesbians or porn stars, which can get tired quickly (for the listener, anyway; I'm sure that if I were the spanker it would be endlessly gratifying). Esau.
Since this thread has seemed to turn into a Stern discussion, here's my measely two cents.I've listened to Stern, occasionally before Q107 aired his show to hear what all the hype was about and semi regular while they aired it (only because I listened to Q107 all the time back then), but not so much afterwards as I've never found his show, humor and the such all that entertaining, although like anything there were exceptions. But that's just me, everyone has a different sense of humor.Do I think he's a douche? Yeah, sometimes I do think he is. But who cares what I think of him? I mean if I took offence everytime someone trashed Bob Dylan, or insulted people who do enjoy him, I'd probally be offended and angry everyday. Fact is, I love his music and nothing anyone will ever say about him (or me for that matter) will change that. To give an example.I dunno, I guess I don't take it seriously enough to be bothered. Everyone has an opinion, I can accept that. I feel no desire to convert or convince people otherwise.

Kanada Kev
He's going to be on a TV reality show now! What a douche: http://digg.com/d1ol0L Blagojevich recruited for NBC's 'Celebrity'Former Illinois governor joining show pending court's OK By James Hibberd April 14, 2009, 10:23 PM ET Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has made a deal to star in NBC's upcoming summer reality show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here," the network confirmed Tuesday. "Rod Blagojevich will be a participant on the show pending the court's approval," NBC said. The network has been looking for household names for its version of the U.K. hit, which launches June 1. NBC is taking the unusual step of airing the show four nights a week at 8 p.m. for nearly a month, and a successful launch could fuel the network's entire summer schedule. According to the Chicago Tribune, Blagojevich's attorney told a federal judge Tuesday that he will file a request to loosen his client's travel restrictions to participate in the show, which will be shot in Costa Rica. Blagojevich was indicted April 1 on federal corruption charges that included 11 counts of wire fraud, three of extortion, one of racketeering and one of lying to federal investigators. He has plead not guilty. Given Blagojevich's notoriety, he's bound to garner some curiosity tune-in. "Celebrity" is produced by Granada, which signed the governor for the show pending approval. In the series, 10 celebrities of various backgrounds compete in challenges to raise money for their favorite charities.
