d_rawk
That sounds pretty darn good. Where might I find 'honey dates'?
Ms.Huxtable
Most grocery stores have them in the veggie section in plastic containers.
bouche
That sounds pretty darn good. Where might I find 'honey dates'?hartman's, or that nice organic grocery on bank near there. I got them one time at the veggie place near lauzon music. FYI, dates are a power food.
d_rawk
Made this tonight - the flavor is very good, but unfortunately it turned out too sweet for my tastes.I used fancy molasses just because that's what I have on hand right now, but next time would use blackstrap for a bit more 'bitter' and a bit less 'candy'Thanks for the recipe! fluffhead77
^^^ haven't tried this recipe yet, but it did look a tad on the sweet side for my liking... Thanks for the suggestion.
bouche
balance it with your balsamic. it's really good.
d_rawk
That actually may have been one of the issues here - we were gifted a wonderful artisan balsamic from Italy, but it is much sweeter than I'd normally expect a vinegar to be.(I'm not much of a sweet tooth)
Ms.Huxtable
Also, eating the dressing with onions, nuts and goat cheese takes off the sweet edge.

fluffhead77
balance it with your balsamic. it's really good.I've got wicked awesome 5 year old balsamic right now that would prolly make it too sweet, but maybe I'll try it with a much younger one. Think a white wine vinegar would hold up?
