Hartamophone
These guys haven't been making much noise lately, and I know that Aaron Collier now lives in Toronto. Tour dates seem to be just sporadic local shows, and there hasn't been much in the way of new music in quite a while, with the "new album" they've been talking about for well over a year nowhere in sight.I no longer live on the East Coast, where for all I know they might still be packin' 'em in and going strong, so feel free to contradict me (in fact please do) if I'm way off base here. That said, I'm worried the sun may be starting to set on this one-time juggernaut.

Hartamophone
Watch out for a big 2010 for The Jimmy Swift Band!! I hope you're right, although vague and promotional one-liners are of little consolation. Care to elaborate?

Jay Funk Dawg
They've been in the studio and they've been doing runs out West. The last Toronto, Hamilton and Waterloo shows were dismal last time, and it didn't seem for lack of trying. It was a couple weeks after the PJC close and the timing wasn't the best to accept the jam at the Casbah. Now that these guys are a little bit older they can't just sleep on floors and play to a couple people. They likely won't be back to Ontario until they have a new product.Keep the faith JSB is here to stay. Edited December 10, 2009 by Guest
EddieRamser
They have been coming to Alberta a few times a year for the past three years with the last time just this past October so i don't think it's fair to say they are just playin local gigs. However, if they are on a touring hiatus to concentrate on new music it is exactly what they need. Their setlists have been a quite predictable and a little tired for quite a while now.I have faith they'll be back strong.
