AD
Saw his show in Ottawa in September and it's highly recommended. So good. He went at least half an hour over his allotted time and it was very very funny. Opener was Chris Farley's brother. Not good.
Hartamophone
I remember seeing his name on the marquee in North Battleford, Saskatchewan this summer. Couldn't help but think that North Battleford is a long way from SNL. Doesn't make him any less hilarious, though.
backbacon
Hopefully his stand-up is better than his Bob Saget roast. That was baaad.
bouche
Just got 2 tix. I was hoping to see a date show up in Ottawa, but I'm not waiting around. The Grand Theatre is small. He's also playing Hamilton Place....FYI.Regarding the Bob Saget roast...that was very fuckin' funny. I guess you missed the spin he put on the 'expected' comedy. Norm's nutz man. AD
Bouche, he sold out the Bronson Centre in late September, doubt he will be performing here soon. But you never know. He has family here and has done unannounced shows at Yuk Yuks open mic nights from time to time.

Norm's nutz man.I suppose I did miss that. I'd just gotten so used to laughing at the roasters that I was 'expecting' him to be funny.
Booche
I knew what he was doing but he failed. Watch it again and pay attention to the reactions of the other roasters, especially Bob Saget himself. They didnt find it funny either and seeing as comedy is their profession I can guarantee you they knew the angle Norm was coming from. It was incredibly unfunny. Give me a wasted Courtney Love any day of the week.

There was something already planned. What the hell made me miss that?

He's just got this cocky look that makes me laugh.
bouche
Along with Hamilton on the 9th, he's doing a show at the Lindsay Academy Theatre on the 10th of march. With the 6th booked for Kingston, I would hazard a guess that he's probably got a couple of other shows in the works for toronto, ottawa, montreal. Booche
I heard interviews with a number of the roasters and other comedians and they all called it comedy genius.Well, they certainly werent reacting like they felt that way. But Courtney Love? That's comedic genius.
backbacon
I say if it's 100% uncomfortable and 0% funny he can stay home and roast himself in the mirror. That said, I'll give it another viewing sometime and see if any of that comedic genius comes across.

bouche
This thread brings back fond memories of the only time I got to see Norm. This 38 minutes of Bob Saget discussing norm is wonderful.
Hartamophone
Marc Maron has re-posted his 2011 interview with Norm. It's a great talk, and the only time I've ever heard Norm stay out-of-character for any length of time. Also, Conan O'Brien posted a one hour podcast of him and Andy and one of their producers reminiscing about him. #chairmanofthebored
