DevO
Yep I am going to go. Was planning to be in recovery mode from Hillside on this Monday night, but I've wanted to see Gillian Welch (and Dave) play for years. I gave the new album a listen last night and really like it too.

DevO
WOW!!! What an amazing duo, I was completely satisfied even with the high expectation I had. Just Gillian and Dave up on stage giving it their all and never missing a note. They did a lot off the new album, a chunk of older tunes (Sing That Rock & Roll, Red Clay Halo, Miss Ohio, Time: The Revelator, April 14th come to mind). Ruby was the one Rawlings tune they did. They did two 2-song encores, included I'll Fly Away and a surprise cover of White Rabbit to end the night. The Phoenix was PACKED with a mostly really great audience (huge cheers between songs but quiet during). Such a great show, had to let you folks know. I would expect nothing less from those two. Guess I'll have to go out and buy the new CD next week.
